Today I am going to share my knowledge about the Nakshatras.
So, as you may know there are 27 Nakshatras wherein each star has 4 padas.
The hierarchy goes like this
The above is the list of 27 Nakshtras in hierarchy from number 1 to number 27.
Our Janma Nakshtra( Birth Nakshtra) is determined by Moon. At the time of your birth, moon might be transiting any one of the above nakshtras and that becomes your Janma Nakshtra( Birth Nakshtra).
We all know that there are 9 Planets in Vedic Astrology and this each planets rules 3 nakshtras as you see in the above picture. Planet Ketu rules Ashwini, Magha, Moola Nakshtras and the list goes from top to bottom.
Let's take a look at Zodiac Signs.
There are 12 Zodiac Signs starting from Mesha( Aries ), Taurus( Vrishiba) .....Pisces( Meena) as you see in the above chart.
In the above pic, you can see each and every zodiac sign with their respective Nakshtras.
Don't get confused over Zodiac Signs and Ruling Planets.
I will explain you with an example.
Let's say a man was born with Shrava Nakshtra.
1. As per the first picture, this Shravana Nakshtra would be ruled by Planet Moon.
2. As per the second picture, this Shravana Nakshtra is in Capricorn( Makara) Sign.
This is how you differentiate between Zodiac sign and ruling planet.
Knowing your Janma Nakshtra( Birth Star) would help you in reading results/characteristics about the particular Zodiac Sign, a particular star etc.
For the above example, we can take the qualities of Shrava Nakshtra( as he was born in this star) and then take the qualities of Capricorn( Makara) Sign and then the ruling planet of the Nakshtra which is the Moon. Combining all these readings could help you access something about that particular person. Again, this is just a basic reading and one can't decide as per this basic reading.
